The Batesville Area Arts Council will host the eighth annual Artoberfest, an arts and music festival on Main Street, Saturday, October 12, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The festival will feature artist booths, live music by Ed Casper, Matthew Lebrato & Jon Healey, and The Natural Disasters, art demonstrations, and other family fun activities! This one-day festival is FREE for the community to enjoy thanks to our generous sponsors! This year’s festival is presented by Citizens Bank and sponsored by FutureFuel Chemical Co., Lyon College, Wood Family Dealerships, Bank of Cave City, and First Community Bank.
Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest
Artoberfest's sidewalk chalk art contest is FREE, family-friendly fun for kids of all ages. The contest will be held Saturday, October 12, on Main Street, Batesville, AR at 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. for the K - 6th grade age group, and 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. for the Junior High - College age group. Some sidewalk chalk will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own if you've got a larger group and want to ensure plenty to go around. ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE REGISTERED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST. This ensures that we have enough squares marked off for everyone.
